Reminders from the Guidance Department:

The College and Career Fair is one week from today ….Tuesday, October 24th ……from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on the Rebel Boardwalk. College recruiters, Military Personnel, LOSFA, and Businesses from all over Louisiana and surrounding states will be here to visit with you!

The door decorating contest is Oct 31.

The FAFSA Application is being updated, therefore; it will be made available in DECEMBER 2023, instead of the usual October release date.

The 1st nine weeks ends this Thursday.

Sports News:

This afternoon, the tennis team has a match with Neville.

Tomorrow, the Volleyball team travels to Evangel for a game at 5:00 And Friday, they travel to play in the Natchitoches Central tournament.

The Varsity football team travels to Ouachita this Friday to take on the Lions.

This week’s spirit theme is Pink Out in recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month. Let’s all wear Pink!

Club and Organization News:

FCS/FCA will meet tomorrow at 7:15 in the new gym.

This weekend, the Rebel Band has a competition in Bossier.

Today, at lunch the Student Life team is hosting Craft Creating at lunch. There will be music to enjoy and craft supplies ready to use. Show up, relax, and get crafty.

Junior Civitans t-shirts are in! Come by Mrs. Beach’s room (6206) to pick up your shirt.

Also, be sure you are checking Google Classroom for updates about events, etc. See Mrs. Beach if you have questions.

It is time to start signing up for the next drivers ed class with Coach Osborne. You can go to gorebs.org, click on online payments and find “drivers ed” to sign up. The parent meeting will be Saturday, October 28th at 8 am, and classes will start after school on Monday October 30th. For more information stop by and see Coach Osborne in the PE gym.

West Monroe High School will be performing Disney's The Little Mermaid in April of 2024. Have you ever wanted to be Ariel, Prince Eric, Skuttle, Flounder or even Ursula? Now is your chance. Audition packets are available outside the choir room now. Auditions will be Monday Oct. 30th at 4 pm in the choir room. Follow the instructions given in the packet and we will see you on the 30th. Direct any questions to Mrs. Freeman. Come out you "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and be a "Part of our World."
